Will alternate each year with marching one year then concert the next year. Asked for the Band Boosters to float a loan of $1500 so uniforms may be purchased. Fees paid by the ensemble members will reimburse this money. The motion was made to provide $1500 was approved and passed. Patches The only patch earned this year was Carrollton Band Day, Grand Champion. A sign up sheet will be placed on the bulletin board in the band room. An email will also be distributed. The fee is $10 per patch. Payment should be placed in an envelope, labeled band patch, and dropped off in the black box in the band room. Payment will need to be received before the patches are ordered. Turnaround time is about 6 weeks. Patches will be ordered the last of March or first of April to guarantee delivery by the band banquet in May. Magazine Sales The magazine money will be coming in soon. Most payments will be in by February. Accounts were previously credited with possible payment coming in. Refunds possible for those who sold above and beyond credited amount. Concession Stand The band is on the schedule to work the concession stand at the Basketball game on Thursday, January 17. 2-3 volunteers were asked to work. Need to be there at 5:30 pm. Director’s Comments: Mr. Hansen
Mrs. Sloan put aside money for future uniform purchases. Dr. Bollow advised a portion of the funds will need to be spent or we will loose it. Currently designing a new coat. Approximately $166 will be spent per coat. Might ask the boosters to supply new gauntlets or plumes. Students will need to purchase bibs ($38) along with their shoes. Looking into students also purchasing their pants- possibly guaranteeing better care is taken with them. Current uniforms will be used for the concert bands. Meeting dismissed. Respectfully submitted, Chere White |
