2007 Championships

Winter Drumline Appearances

Friday After School – Load all equipment onto Trailer.  We should now know the routine for loading.  There will be one small change, the vibes and our/MS floor will change spots on the trailer.  Everything else is the same.  I cannot be here to help, make sure everything is on and secure. 

4:30 am – Arrive to load Bus.  Make all the necessary arrangements to make sure you make this time.  Do NOT stay up all night, you will be tired all day and not have the focus to give a great performance!  Plan to sleep on the bus ride down.  Make sure you have your uniform and money for food that day.  Plan to bring something for breakfast on the bus; we don’t plan to have a big stop on the way down.

9:28 am – MS performs at Nixa High School.  You need to be IN uniform by the time the MS performs.  As soon as they are done, help get the floor and props back on the trailer, load the bus and we had for Willard. 

11:11 am – Our warm-up begins at Willard High School.  As soon as we arrive we must unload the trailer and begin getting ready for our performance.  We will not have the ‘down’ time we usually do.  It will be unload quickly and warm-up, then performance.  Be ready for this mentally.

11:40 – Our final performance in competition.  Make it our best yet!  Be focused, relaxed and ready to PERFORM and have FUN!

11:50 – Immediately following our performance, load the trailer.  Do not change before we load.

12:00 pm – If we hurry we may be able to catch the end of our class.  We now get to watch all the other drumlins perform.  (See schedule accompanying this itinerary).  There will be a FULL ensemble retreat for awards.  You must be in uniform for this!  You are encouraged to stay in uniform till after retreat.  Do NOT miss the last 4 drumlines because you are changing.  You are on your own for lunch.

3:40 – Full Retreat.   After awards, we will load the bus, either go back to Nixa or go to eat, we will see from there.  We will be at Nixa HS for the rest of the time, to help/cheer on the HS guard.

7:43 – HS Guard Performs

9:45 – Guard Awards.  ASAP load and head for home!  We will be arriving at the HS between 1 and 2 am.  Please make sure you have a ride to pick you up.  You will be reminded with about 15 min. to go to call and make sure you have a ride home afterward.

We have a few bus seats for people who will help us on and off the floor.  I need to know ASAP who wants on the bus.  I need to know who all plans to be there and help us get on and off the floor as well, even if driving separately.  Please call or email me this information ASAP.  Tickets are $15 this time, $10 for 6 and under.  This will get you a wristband that can also get you into the color guard site.
