MCCGA Championships Itinerary
March 31, 2007

4:15am – Arrive at OHS

  • Trailer will be loaded Friday after school
  • All equipment should be left at OHS following Thursday’s rehearsal.
  • OMS and OHS – arrive with hair done. Makeup and everything else can be done on the way or later for the HS.

4:45 – Load Buses and head to Springfield

  • You are allowed to bring one bag, your costume and a pillow/blanket.
  • Bring dvds that you would like watch. NO RATED R!!!!! PG-13 will be allowed ONLY if I have seen the movie before and approve of it.

8:00am – Arrive in Springfield

  • We will check in at Nixa HS.

9:00am – MS Warm-up

9:28 – MS PERFORMANCE!!! Last one of the season!! This has been so amazing! You have far surpassed expectations with this show. Let’s make the last one the best ever!!

10:00 – HS will head to Willard HS to help/watch Drumline. MS will stay behind to wait for awards.

11:40 – DRUMLINE PERFORMANCE at Willard HS

12:30 – REGIONAL CLASS RETREAT AND AWARDS

** Following this, the MS Guard will wait at Nixa for the HS guard to come back and pick them up at approx. 1:00pm***

1:30ish – HEAD TO LAMBERT’S CAFÉ!!! One of our favorite parts of the weekend!! Bring money to cover your meal – AND YOUR CAMERA! Crazy things happen at Lambert’s

4:00 – Return to Nixa and the HS group will remain on bus and sleep to prepare for their show.

  • MS will watch guards, go through the vendors, buy T-Shirts, etc. This is a great time to watch other groups and learn….

6:00 – HS will get ready

6:30 – Begin Mental Warm-up

7:48 – HS PERFORMANCE! Only one guaranteed after this one girls. It’s all about choice….

9:45 – Scholastic Class Awards and Retreat!

***Following this we will load and head for home. You will be able to call rides when we get close. Approx. 2am arrival home…***

Nixa Directions
From Springfield: Go South on HW 160 (Campbell Ave) approx. 5 miles. Turn West (R) on HW 14 (Massey). Turn South on HW M (Nicholas). The HS will be on your left about .5 down.

Willard Directions:
From I-44: Take the Willard/Highway 160 West Exit #75 going West for 5.4 miles on Hwy 160 to Willard. You will see a large white water tower on your right side and you should be able to see the school as well. Exit to your right on the first road and drive 300’ to the main entrance to campus. There will be signs up on campus where to drive/park/check-in.
