1st Place Trophy at
Carrollton Band Day 2006!
8th Grade Band
The 8th Grade band meets 44 Min. everyday.
It meets as a full ensemble with emphasis on balance and blend
of the band. Through the August, September and October months
the band learns basic marching fundamentals and performs at
Carrolton Band Day, Odessa Marching Invitational and the OHS
Homecoming Parade.
After marching season the focus is on
concert band music. This band performs three home concerts each
year. It also participates in at least one off-campus concert
band festival. Past Festivals have included Central Methodist
University Music Festival, Mid-Missouri Music Festival and the
Worlds of Fun Music Festival. This ensemble has a history of
superior ratings when attending these festivals.
